Store Manager

Job Description

  • Manage the overall operation of the site store and warehouse.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials and equipment; control material wastage, theft and inventory losses.
  • Maintain accurate stock records in physical and computerized inventory systems; conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
  • Issue materials to departments and site teams as per approved requisitions.
  • Maintain inventory of mechanical spare parts, fuel, lubricants, tools, and construction materials.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.
  • Coordinate with procurement, accounts, mechanical, and project teams regarding material requirements.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, support and training as needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Notes (MIN), and stock transfer records.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards within the store premises.
  • Manage disposal of obsolete, damaged, and surplus materials as per company policy and contractual requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary inventory records and reports.

Job Specification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in store, inventory, warehouse, or material management, preferably in construction, road, bridge, hydropower, or infrastructure projects.
  • Willing to relocate and work. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
