Sr. Procurement Officer
Job Description
- Knowledge of opening TT/LC banking process (Local, India & Third country)
- Custom tariff knowledge (HSN & Duty calculation)
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with approved procedures.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, pricing changes, and potential suppliers.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors/subcontractor and supplier (India & Nepal)
- Attend vendor meetings
- Shipment booking knowledge (Road, Sea & Air)
- Responsible for tracking, receiving, and stocking all items ordered
- Review supplier proposals and invoices.
- Manage claims and losses.
- Coordinate with staff, operations personnel, and outside agencies to ensure materials and services are available when needed.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Sound knowledge of procurement principles sourcing strategies and vendor management
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Job Specification
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
