Sr. Account Officer
Job Description
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and bank transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review invoices, payment requests, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on overdue balances.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and relevant authorities when required.
- Review the work of junior accounting staff and provide guidance and support.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain proper filing and confidentiality of financial documents.

Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of taxation, audit procedures, and statutory compliance.
