Roles and Responsibilities:
- To have the required area familiarity and knowledge essential for leading the field force, comprising Distributor Sales Staff and Sales Supervisors, pertaining to the area, cities, and towns therein, including urban agglomeration aspects, the potential of the area, and the knowledge of the distributors.
- To devise route planning and coverage norms for the field force, estimating astute manpower requirements, deploying the required field personnel, and ratifying the routes thus designed for optimization of field force workings at the marketplace.
- To plan the category- and sku-wise targets for the area assigned in terms, the focus should be on
- volume-wise sales planning: guiding the field force on the how rather than the what: working out secondary sales targets for the field force, culminating in primary sales targets for the distributors.
- To lead from the front for merchandising and display of our products in the market place, getting the same implemented on a day-to-day, outlet-to-outlet basis by the field force.
- To inculcate sampling of our cigarettes at the market through our field force as a regular activity in their markets and on as per discussions with their managers.
- To handle, manage, and motivate the sales team.
- To play a key role in distributor selection and the appointment of a suitable partner for GLPL.
- To do sales analysis at the individual field force level weekly.
- To track and ensure hygiene elements have effective coverage.
- To ensure collections are in line with agreed payment norms for the area.
- To ensure that authentic claims are submitted by the distributors, duly verified and timely submissions assist in prompt claim settlements through proper documentation and support.
