Packing Incharge
Job Description
- Operate packing machines as per SOPs and production standards.
- Achieve production targets with optimum OEE and minimum wastage.
- Monitor output, downtime, rejection, and machine performance.
- Execute timely SKU/pack-size changeovers.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Warehouse.
- Ensure machine maintenance, breakdown control, and troubleshooting.
- Manage packing manpower, training, and discipline.
- Ensure packing quality, coding, sealing, and packaging compliance.
- Maintain GMP, HACCP, food safety, 5S, and machine safety standards.
- Maintain production, downtime, maintenance, and wastage records.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of packing machine operation
- Good understanding of machine settings and troubleshooting
- Strong changeover management skills
- Production planning and manpower management
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Food Technology
- 8-10 years of experience in packing/production operations, preferably in biscuit, FMCG, food or similar manufacturing industries.
- Experience with automatic packing machines and changeover activities preferred.
- Supervisory/team-handling experience is essential.
