Health and Safety Officer
Job Description
- Implement strong health and safety practices across the factory.
- Conduct daily safety inspections in production areas.
- Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and report corrective actions.
- Ensure employees follow PPE requirements and safety procedures.
- Support implementation of safety policies and factory safety standards.
- Conduct toolbox talks and basic safety training for workers.
- Assist in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.
- Monitor fire safety equipment and emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintain safety checklists, records, and daily safety reports.
- Support safety audits and compliance activities.
- Coordinate with supervisors and departments to improve workplace safety
Skills
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards
- Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Strong communication and training abilities
- Good report writing and documentation skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Specification
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Risk Assessment are an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
