Technical Head

Job Description

1. Product Development and R&D: Lead the research and development (R&D) activities to create new

pharmaceutical products or improve existing ones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, evaluate new formulations, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

2. Quality Control and Assurance: Establish and maintain a robust quality control system to ensure that all pharmaceutical products meet the required standards and specifications. Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to maintain product quality and safety.

3. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and ensure that all pharmaceutical products and processes comply with relevant regulations.

4. Technology Transfer: Oversee the transfer of technology from R&D to production, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition of processes and methodologies while maintaining product quality and consistency.

5. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality and yield.

6. Manufacturing and Production: Supervise manufacturing operations to ensure timely and cost-effective production of pharmaceutical products, maintaining compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.

7. Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external partners to ensure the timely supply of raw materials, components, and services, while maintaining the required quality standards.

8. Team Management: Lead and develop a team of scientists, engineers, and technical staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.

9. Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pharmaceutical technology and industry trends. Identify and implement new technologies that can enhance product development, manufacturing processes, and overall operational efficiency.

10. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in product development, manufacturing, and quality control processes and implement measures to mitigate them effectively.

11. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage budgets for technical departments, allocating resources effectively to achieve strategic goals.

12. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, sales, supply chain, and regulatory affairs to align technical strategies with overall company objectives.

13. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technical team, encouraging the use of data-driven decision-making and promoting innovation.
