Product Development Officer

Job Description

  • Outbound, inbound and ticketing Product development. 
  • Obtain special rates from various hotels and transport, prepare package costing, rate sheets and proposals. Also, designing and creating new tour packages as per the customer’s needs and then sending to agent overseas.
  • Generate and evaluate new product ideas and concepts and identify business opportunities and formulate product concepts. Also, set up and attend exhibitions and holiday shows.
  • Manage planned promotions, discounts and tactical activities, by working closely with Marketing department to drive sales with focus on achieving budgeted tour load factors.
  • Manage tour  and inventory. Also, continuously develop recommendations and implement initiatives that improve product P&L.
  • Meet with Travel Suppliers to obtain the most competitive rates and services, as well as special contract rates and payment terms for various market segments.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Teams in monitoring product performance from launch stage and initiate appropriate solutions in case of product rollout problems. 
  • Develop and execute marketing emails, developing and proofing journey books, and maintaining and updating the Custom Journeys content on the website.
  • Creating the products, designing the posts as well as content for posting in company’s social media accounts. 
  • Developing the most competitive and effective products based on market segmentation and promoting them through sales personnel, exhibitions, and trade shows.
  • Consciously build relationships with domestic and international vendors.. Ensure our vendors’ capabilities and support them in delivering top notch experience to our guests.
  • Manage the product development process from the brainstorming concept phase to the post-launch analysis phase.
  • Conduct market research, demand identification, Idea gathering, Actualization of product, marketing strategy, etc...
  • You should do continuous field visit and product research, accumulation of information to build market intelligence. Also, increase product sales and support management on increasing its revenue.

Job Specification

Job Specifications: 

  • Should have basic graphic design skills
  • 5-year plus experience in product development in the travel industry 
  • Analytical thinker, self-motivated and solution oriented
  • In depth knowledge of travel destinations and players in market
  • Experience in managing external agencies and supplier partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint presentations, proposal writing and Canva, Adobe photoshop is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude and skills to quickly grasp new software. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, and to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Fluent   English speaking with convincing skill and excellent written communication are required with Knowledge of other languages advantage.
  • Being flexible and adaptable and having high attention to details
  • Having good negotiation skills and communication skills and being able to solve problems
  • Having IT skills and maintaining the discipline and having sound personality
  • Ability to work extended hours under varying work schedules and frequently meet rigid deadlines

Other Specific Requirements: 

  • Bachelor/Master level preferred with minimum 5-6 years’ experience 
  • Two-wheeler license holder and two-wheeler holder are preferred
